David Leadbetter coaching

David Leadbetter is one of the world’s elite golf instructors and is coach to countless PGA Tour, European PGA Tour, LPGA Tour and Champions Tour players.

David joined Callaway’s advisory staff in 1996 and worked closely with Ely Callaway, the founder of the company. He speaks fondly of his relationship with a man he considers an inspirational figure. “I really loved just talking to him. He once said to me: ‘David, you and I are in the same business. You give lessons to make people better; we build golf clubs to do the same thing. We are both in the business of selling hope.’”

He is known throughout the world for his innovative and creative teaching techniques and over the past 30 years, his players have amassed more than a dozen Major Championships and over 100 individual worldwide tournament victories.

A PGA Master Professional, Golf Channel Instruction Editor and Golf Digest magazine Teaching Professional, David’s clientele includes four players who have topped the Official World Golf Ranking, along with many more of the world’s very best golfers. He also still enjoys working with amateur players, including recent winners of the Trilby Tour.

David’s coaching career has spanned three decades and he has even been hailed as the man who invented the golf instruction industry.

David Leadbetter and the Leadbetter brand of golf instruction products and services spans the globe and continues to impact the game of golf worldwide. Currently, there are 28 full-time academies strategically located in 13 countries. From Orlando to Spain to China, with the help of David Leadbetter and his elite staff of instructors, golfers around the world are training and improving their game to play better, shoot lowers scores and have more fun playing golf.
