Callaway Staff Player Alex Noren has just enjoyed one of the best weeks of his career to date, qualifying for two majors and winning on the European Tour for the second time.
His incredible week began last Monday at Walton Heath where he made it through US Open qualifying with rounds of 67 and 72 to secure a first-ever major appearance in the States. From there it was off to Celtic Manor where Alex was the dominant player in winning by two strokes. Just a matter of hours after hoisting the trophy aloft he then teed off at Sunningdale and shot 66-64 to finish second in the International Final Qualifying for the Open Championship.
Noren highlighted his new Callaway RAZR Hawk driver as being one of the key factors in his return to form, telling the media: “It bombs! My driving is the best it’s ever been!”

The statistics from Celtic Manor would certainly back this up, as Noren led the field in Driving Distance with an average of 304.1 yards, and was also 12th in Driving Accuracy, hitting almost 60% of fairways for the week. And it wasn’t just with a driver in hand that Alex proved deadly. Having received a new set of RAZR X Forged irons from the Callaway Tour Dept at the start of the week, he produced a masterclass of controlled iron-play to finish second in Greens in Regulation with more than 75% hit.
“This week has been the best of my life,” said Noren, who has now completed his last eight competitive rounds in an impressive 23-under-par.
In addition to the distance and accuracy gains made with his RAZR Hawk driver, Alex has been working hard on his swing with his coach Pete Cowen, who himself recently signed with Callaway as a member of its Advisory Staff. After rising to 12th in the Race to Dubai and having what he called the “best ball-striking day of my life” on Sunday at Celtic Manor, Alex’s hard work is clearly paying off.
Take a look at what Alexander has in his bag:
- RAZR Hawk (9.5)
