SORRY, BUT THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED
But you can still watch (and laugh at!) the video. We will start posting the individual videos from tomorrow in our countdown to see who is Callaway’s 2012 Grip Race Champion.
When it comes to playing golf, these guys are good. When the pressure is on, they know how to win. But when things get dirty… which of Callaway’s Staff Professionals on the European Tour do you think has what it takes to win big?
Putting a grip on a club is something today’s professionals might take for granted but it takes skill, speed and a good helping of patience to get it right. Our Tour Technicians spend hours re-gripping clubs for our stellar line-up of Professionals on Tour… but we thought it was about time they had a taste of their own medicine!
Instead of simply introducing our Staff Professionals to the brand new European Tour Truck – all 33,400kg of it – 16 of our European Pros were given their orders to ‘grip their own clubs’ and experience for themselves what it’s like to work in one of the busiest areas of the Callaway mobile workshop, which sees over 2,500 grips a year being expertly put on the clubs of players competing on Tour.
WIN YOUR OWN CUSTOMISED ODYSSEY METAL-X PUTTER
So, who is Callaway’s King of the Grips? Who is the fastest gripper on the European Tour and who grabbed victory and the ‘Major’ title, Callaway Grip Race Champion 2012?
Watch the highlights video of the 2012 Callaway Grip Race above and then let us know which Callaway Staff Player you think re-gripped the club the fastest. If you select the winner, your name will be put into a draw to win a customised Odyssey Metal-X Putter, complete with your own choice of grip and headcover.
